Domestic Disorderly Conduct Charges Dismissed on 8/7/2020
August 2020
CHARGE: DOMESTIC DISORDERLY CONDUCT
CASE OVERVIEW: Marin & Barrett, Inc. is extremely pleased to report that a domestic disorderly conduct charge against a Client in Providence District Court has been resolved with the dismissal of the disorderly conduct charge. Our Client had been charged with domestic disorderly conduct after threatening (and assaulting her daughter). Based on the nature of the charge, if convicted she faced a maximum sentence of 6 months in jail (ACI).
Marin & Barrett, Inc. was able to highlight to the prosecutor and the judge that there was a lack of evidence to support the allegation against our Client. Based on our arguments, we were able to successfully negotiate a dismissal of the charge and the closed case is set to be expunged from her record.
CASE RESULT: ALL CHARGES DISMISSED on August 7th, 2020
Practice area(s): Criminal Defense
Court: Providence District Court
