CHARGE: UNDERAGE POSSESSION OF ALCOHOL BY A MINOR

CASE OVERVIEW: Attorney Kensley Barrett with the Law Firm Marin and Barrett, Inc., is pleased to announce a successfully defended a criminal case of minor in possession of alcohol. Our Client, who attends a local college, was pulled over after a routine traffic stop and during the stop police officers viewed a case of beer in the back seat of our Client's car.  The police subsequently charged our Client with transporting alcohol beverages by a person under the age of twenty-one.

After being retained by the Client, we contacted the prosecuting police department and negotiated an outcome that resulted in the case being dismissed at the first court appearance known as the arraignment.  As a result of the dismissal, our client avoided a license suspension and avoided a criminal fine.  Additionally, a motion to seal and expunge was immediately filed with the court to remove all documentation of the client's arrest and court proceedings from his record.
