Assault and Resisting Arrest Charges Dismissed in February 2022
March 2022
CHARGE: FEDERAL DRUG POSSESSION CHARGE
Marin and Barrett, Inc. is extremely pleased to report that a Client charged with possession of controlled substances had his case dismissed after negotiations with the United States Attorney General's Office. The Client was charged with federal misdemeanor possession of psylocibin mushrooms and marijuana while hiking on federal land (a national park).
During pre-trial discussions, Marin & Barrett, Inc. successfully argued that the small amount of mushrooms and marijuana that was seized by the park ranger and the client's lack of a criminal record should warrant a dismissal, which the prosecutor agreed with. The Client avoids a federal possession conviction and associated fines/penalties due to the charge being dismissed.
RESULTS: ALL CHARGES DISMISSED in March 2022
