CHARGE:  FIRST DEGREE CHILD MOLESTATION (MAXIMUM PENALTY OF LIFE IMPRISONMENT AT THE ACI)

BAIL HEARING OVERVIEW:  Marin & Barrett, Inc. is extremely pleased to report that a Client who had been arrested and recently charged with first degree child molestation has been released on bail following a bail hearing in the Kent County District Court.  The Client had held without bail at the Adult Correctional Institute Intake Center (ACI) following his initial appearance in District Court two weeks prior to the hearing.  

After meeting with the prosecutor handling the case, Attorneys for Marin & Barrett, Inc. made arguments in support of the Client's release on bail during the pendency of the case.  Based on the legal and factual arguments made by Marin & Barrett, Inc,, the Court agreed to release the Client onto home confinement.

CASE RESULT: BAIL SET AND THE CLIENT WAS RELEASED ON HOME CONFINEMENT BAIL PENDING TRIAL in April 2021
