SECOND DEGREE CHILD ABUSE - DISMISSED
November 2018
Client was charged with second degree child abuse when a nurse reported to the authorities that the client's child had bruises that were "consistent with child abuse". Attorney Ken Barrett reviewed the State's evidence and conducted investigatory research to ultimately conclude that the child's bruises were not consistent with child abuse and that the client acted as any attentive parent would under the circumstances.
